An (Arab) hairdresser was convicted of kidnapping a European woman after luring her with a trick and was sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by deportation by the Dubai Criminal Court. Threatening to assassinate her.
According to the Public Prosecution, the event occurred on the morning of December 4 last year, while the victim was inside a restaurant in JLT. He also persuaded her that he could find her a good-paying work in a salon.
According to the prosecution’s investigation, the victim trusted him after his insistence on her and agreed to accompany him to his room in a shared residence. When they arrived, he shut the door behind them and began offering her a set of cosmetics, then abruptly pushed her onto the bed, angering her and causing her to scream at him. “Shut your mouth or I will murder you,” he said, threatening to kill her if she didn’t stop. When she tried to get up, he shoved her again, and she retreated and did not cry because she was terrified of him, and he assaulted her under duress despite her continuous protests.
She went on to say that she shouted when she heard someone’s voice outside, and that she bit the accused’s finger, causing a laceration, and scratching his neck with her nails, causing abrasions.

The accused admitted to kidnapping and sexually assaulting the victim in the arrest warrants and police inferences, but he then withdrew his comments during the Public Prosecution’s inquiry, saying that the woman went with him of her own free will.
While the building guard said in the Public Prosecution’s investigations that he observed the accused enter the building with the victim, and that the woman came out collapsed and crying after around two hours.
The defendant’s next-door neighbor said that he was sleeping when he heard a woman yelling at the defendant, “Leave me!” Then he heard him say to her, “Leave,” and later heard her scream, “Leave me and don’t follow me,” after she had departed.
The Criminal Court, for its part, acknowledged that the victim’s allegations about being duped into accompanying the accused to his home in order to commit the crime of abduction using fraudulent means reassured it, and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
The accused misled the victim into believing that her hair was damaged and that he had made plans to fix it.
